From Microneedling Collagen Induction Therapy treatments to Platelet Rich Plasma facials (also known as ‘vampire facials’) we provide services the will improve skin radiance, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring. Through the focus on enhancing and maintaining collagen production in the skin these treatments offer results from encouraging the body to heal itself.
Microneedling Collagen Induction Therapy
The eDermaStamp by Dermaspark is a Health Canada approved microneedling collagen induction therapy device that is clinically proven and perhaps the most successful treatment available for the common signs and symptoms of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, loss of skin volume and crepey skin. This device is also clinically proven to minimize scars, including acne scarring, and stretch marks. The eDermaStamp by Dermaspark utilizes surgical grade needles to stimulate the dermal layer of the skin to enhance collagen growth and encourage tissue restructuring. As the surgical-grade microneedles reach the dermis, this triggers our bodies’ spontaneous healing process that within minutes, stimulates a healing cascade that infuses the area with collagen-producing fibroblasts and growth-promoting properties. This causes the skin to become thicker and more supple as newly organized collagen and elastin forms.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Facial
To gain enhanced results from the eDermaStamp by Dermaspark, platelet rich plasma (PRP) facials utilize the device to help drive PRP into the skin. While both treatments can be used for skin conditions like acne scarring, melasma (pigmentation spots), UV-induced sun damage as well as the signs of aging, it has been clinically shown that PRP can provide enhanced results beyond what microneedling collagen induction therapy alone can provide. Platelet-rich plasma is extracted directly from your own blood and is a rich source of growth factors, especially epidermal growth factor (among other growth factors that have an affinity for structures of the dermal layer of the skin) that enhance the microneedling collagen induction therapy-induced wound healing cascade.
FreezPen Cryotherapy Device
Another treatment device new to Canada can help erase skin tags, benign moles, age spots and other unwanted skin skin lesions by a simple technique called cryotherapy. This treatment utilizes nitric oxide to freeze off the lesion. This treatment is also painless, has little down time and will not scar the skin. The FreezPen is a Health Canada approved device that takes seconds to use and about two weeks to notice the full results.
Intravenous Nutrient Therapy
Intravenous nutrient therapy (IV therapy) is a technique where vitamins and minerals are introduced to the system intravenously. Normally, cells in the gastrointestinal tract facilitate the absorption of nutrients. In IV nutrient therapy, nutrients are infused directly into the blood stream. It’s an excellent way to increase serum concentrations of vitamins and minerals and helps to provide a window of opportunity for cells to take up nutrients against a smaller concentration gradient. In addition, some nutrients have been shown to exhibit pharmacological effects, which are dependent on the concentration of the nutrient. This concentration is largely unattainable from oral supplementation alone.
IV therapy is beneficial for:
Fatigue and high stress
Skin conditions and boosting skin radiance
Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and other complex chronic pain syndromes
Frequent colds and flus (immune-boosting)
Muscle pain and soreness
All studies on the Myers Cocktail (a commonly utilized multivitamin IV) have found it to be a safe and effective treatment. As with any intravenous therapy, possible side effects could include lightheadedness, nausea and/or discomfort at the infusion site. These effects are rare and short lasting.
A common IV therapy treatment lasts between 15-40 minutes, depending on the size of the IV bag and what nutrients are being used. Anywhere from 6-15 treatments are recommended and monthly maintenance is also suggested for lasting results.
Pain Relief Services
From joint and muscle pain to headaches and migraines, there are a number of various pain injections that can help.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections can help improve both muscle and joint pain. PRP is extracted directly from your own blood through a specific centrifugation and extraction process. PRP is rich in growth factors and immune cells that can help heal inflamed tissues as well as boost the production of certain constituents in your joints, like collagen. This technique is an excellent option for those who are considering a joint replacement and/or in chronic pain due to conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendonitis or plantar fasciitis.
Neuroprolotherapy and Prolotherapy injections utilize dextrose and/or procaine to reduce pain associated with muscle tightness, ligament laxity, chronic muscle injury, headache and migraine. From low back pain to knee pain to elbow pain to shoulder pain, neuroprolotherapy and prolotherapy injections can help.
IV Therapy can be helpful for headache and migraine patients. They can both reduce the severity of a headache or migraine acutely as well as reduce the frequency that they occur. See the IV Therapy section above to learn more.
Using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique combined with modern applications of acupuncture, treatment plans encompass the whole body with treating root cause while addressing specific symptoms.
Acupuncture is commonly considered in treatment plans for:
Headache and migraine
Chronic pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions
Fatigue and insomnia
Hormone dysregulation such a heavy periods, irregular periods or painful periods
Digestive complains such as IBS, constipation, diarrhea and bloating
